Adelaide is compact compared with the eastern capitals, but a participant's week can still stretch from the CBD out to the northern suburbs around Elizabeth and Salisbury, down to the southern suburbs near Noarlunga, or up into the Adelaide Hills. We work across these areas (including the eastern and western suburbs and Port Adelaide) and combine in-person and remote support so that distance and travel time don't decide whether a person gets timely help.
Plenty of the people we support move between several settings each week, and consistency matters most at the points of transition. We collaborate with local schools, allied health providers, and support coordinators so that the same dignity-first approach follows a person from home to school to community, rather than three teams pulling in different directions.
South Australia also has families living well beyond metropolitan Adelaide, and behaviour support shouldn't depend on a postcode. Where in-person visits aren't practical, we use remote and telehealth sessions to stay involved and keep strategies on track, subject to current capacity.
