Darwin covers a lot of ground, from the city centre out through the northern suburbs around Casuarina and Nightcliff, across to Palmerston, and into the rural area beyond. We work across these areas and combine in-person visits in and around Darwin with remote and telehealth sessions, so that the long distances of the Top End don't decide whether a person gets timely, consistent support.
The Northern Territory's distances are real, and travel can take time, so we're upfront about what in-person support looks like and where remote sessions make more sense. Our aim is steady, joined-up behaviour support. We collaborate with local schools, allied health providers, and support coordinators so that strategies stay consistent across the different settings a person moves through.
Many participants and families in the Territory come from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and culturally safe, respectful practice matters. We aim to listen first, work with families and the people who know a person best, and adapt our approach to their context rather than imposing one. We don't claim to have all the answers, but we take this seriously and welcome guidance from the community and other services involved.
